Indiana visit

Mikey and I took a trip to Indiana last week to visit his grandparents.  They are the cutest people EVER!!  They live in St. John...and have been there for basically their whole lives.  Everywhere we went, people knew them.  Even the police officers recognized their car when we would drive around.  I don't think we could ever drag them away from that town...it's definitely their home.

Here are some pics from the visit:

Arriving at Midway Airport

Day 1:  We went down the road to "The Shrine of Christ's Passion."  It is nationally known and people travel from all over the world to see it.  One of the locals in St. John...who's family grew up in St. John with Mikey's grandparents DONATED the entire thing.  I think that's pretty radical.  It was many millions to put this thing together...and it's incredible.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Entrance to the stations of the cross...Grandpa built the iron gate

Day 2:  Visit to Chicago!!  I did horrible at taking pictures this day, but it was fun.  Windy and cold too!

The Hancock!

Of COURSE we had to get pizza.  YUM!

Day 3:  We went to "Fair Oaks Dairy" which was actually really cool.  You can tour how they feed the cows, clean the areas, etc.  They also have a room where you can see the baby calves being born.  It was crazy because the we got on the tour bus and the guide said "we are expecting something really special today...one of our cows is expecting twins to be born!"  We were so excited...they hurried through the bus tour so we could make it back, and we got there just in time to see the twins being born.  Crazy, right?

TWINS!!  :)

All-in-all, it was a fun trip.  We did get ripped off by Delta on the way home...they basically stole $300 from us by charging our credit card without authorization...but other than that, I'd call the trip a success.  (Sorry for the downer, I just had to complain a little.  I'm still not over the Delta thing).
