Doctor's Visit

We had another visit with the doc on Friday.  Our babies are getting so big!!

Our little boy was 3 lbs, 14 oz.
Our little girl was 3 lbs, 10 oz.

We did another ultrasound, but the stinkers didn't want to pose for the camera, so they couldn't really get the pictures like we usually do.  It's all good though, because they were healthy and just the right size!!  Both had a heart rate of 138.

From this point forward, they will gain about a half pound per week!  They just grow up so fast (sniff)!  :)  The doc said most twins deliver at 35 weeks...which would give us less than 4 more weeks...but I think we will make it past that.  I am getting so excited to meet them.

Baby Boy (A) is lower, and he is breech...so as of right now, it looks like c-section.  They are getting pretty tight in there, so don't have a ton of room to flip over anymore.  You never really know though.  It could happen.
Baby Girl (B) is higher, and she is head-down.

We are ALMOST finished with remodeling our guest bathroom and after that the only project we have left is to paint and finish up the nursery.  We just need the bedding to arrive so we can get that finished.  I will post pics of the bathroom and nursery soon.

30 WEEKS!!

Tomorrow my twins will be 30 weeks along!!  I can't believe it!!  This is the biggest that first number (3) will get before they are here!! I'm getting so excited.

Last night Mikey and I attended a breastfeeding class at the hospital.  I have such a wonderful husband.  A little while before we left, Mikey cheked online to see how long the class was...3 HOURS!  I was totally into it and learned a lot, and I think he did too...but I am still impressed that he stuck through the whole thing.  Then today he spent most of the day painting and cleaning.  Oh, and did I mention he missed a basketball game to come with me?!?!   His grandparents came over today and hang chair rails in our kitchen and bathroom.  Bless them all!!  :)

I have been overwhelmingly busy with work lately.  It's one of those "when it rains it pours" times and it seems like everything is happening all at once.  It gets hard to keep up...but I am doing my best.  I really think I need to do better about taking a break to eat lunch...I get so into my work that I forget until 1:30 or 2:00 which is NOT normal for me....and my babies need nutrition.  I setup a reminder on my phone today, so hopefully that will help.

As far as my pregnancy symptoms lately, this is what I've been experiencing:
- TONS of kicking and aerobics by my little ones.  I love it...and I keep trying to get my video camera out quickly when they start so I can video my belly, but they are camera shy like their mom.
- Some spots on my stomach and my fingertips are numb.  It's the weirdest thing.  My belly will itch, and when I scratch it, I can't feel anything.  So strange.  My fingers just tingle and sting a lot...but the doc says that's normal and a circulation issue.
- I found out last Friday that I am anemic, so I have to start taking iron.  Hopefully the iron pills will help me get a little more energy, because I do get tired sooo easily.  It's nothing for me to worry about though...and thankfully I passed the glucose test so I don't have to worry about the gestational diabetes like my poor friend Jenna did.
- SWOLLEN ankles.  I was doing so well and didn't seem to be swelling until about 4 days ago...then, BAM!  It looks like I broke my ankles.  Mikey and I keep playing with them and we will push down on a certain spot for a few seconds and see what shapes we can create.  :)
- Heartburn.  I've had this for a while, but it is rough at night.  I have started taking my prenatal vitamins around 5:30 instead of after dinner, and I think that is helping some.

Anyway...that's a little summary of the pregnancy these days.  More to come...like it or not!
